Aman has been in the financial sector for over 20 years in investment banking working for top tier companies in the United States, London, Hong Kong and Singapore

Prior to PACES, Aman was Director and Portfolio Manager in the Credit Opportunity and Portfolio Restructuring Unit in London at Commerzbank for 4 years. In this role he managed around €5bn in management of legacy structured credit positions, alternative investments, residential whole loan portfolio, and private equity. He achieved double digit returns every year.

Before this, Aman spent 4½ years as an investment banker in Lazard and Co. Limited (London) with title of Director. This was a newly created business line initiated by Aman, focusing on Financial Institution Solutions and Asset Advisory. Aman helped restructure several derivatives heavy institutions including a major bond insurer, issued risk transfer transactions for clients, and provided capital markets / asset advisory to Central Banks. Aman also advised on more than €200bn of AUM to clients.

Aman headed various other desks in both public and private funds and financial products, with stellar results. He has achieved consistent professional and academic growth; Aman obtained a B.Sc. from London School of Economics and Master’s from Columbia University and University of Edinburgh. Specializations were in statistics and financial mathematics. Aman is a CFA chartered holder and FRM certified by GARP.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, John established a career delivering comprehensive financial solutions to Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and their families.

In the year preceding the establishment of PACES, John assisted clients in setting up single family offices in Singapore. While swift results were attained from the leverage on his experience in wealth management, the opportunity allowed him to be fluent with diverse solutions beyond the banking sector.

Prior to this, he spent nine years at Nomura Singapore Ltd. as a Senior Relationship Manager in its Wealth Management Department where he meticulously tended to a portfolio of UHNW clients and tailored solutions to meet their unique investment and structuring needs. John also served as a Relationship Manager in the private banking divisions of Bank Sarasin-Rabo (Asia) Ltd, HL Bank Ltd., Citibank N.A., and Tat Lee Bank Ltd.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Singapore. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malay, Bahasa Indonesia, Cantonese, and Hakka, enabling him to be articulate with distinctive clientele groups.
